How to replace the brake pads

How to replace the brake pads:
1. Loosen the handbrake and loosen the wheel screw of the wheel that needs to change the brake (Note that it should be loosened and not completely unscrewed). Use jacks to top the car. Then remove the tire. Before moving the brakes, it is best to spray a spray on the brake system with special brake fluid to prevent powder from entering the respiratory tract and affecting health.
2. Remove the brake caliper screws (for some cars, simply unscrew one of them and loosen the other)
3. Hang the brake caliper with a rope to avoid damage to the brake lines. Then remove the old brake pads.
4. Use the c-clamp to push the brake piston back in. (Please note that before this step, lift the engine cover and unscrew the cover of the brake fluid tank, because the fluid level of the brake fluid will rise when the top brake piston is closed). Install new brake pads.
5. Put the brake caliper back and tighten the caliper screw to the required torque. Put the tire back and tighten the hub screw slightly.
6. Put down the jack and tighten the hub screw completely.
7.Because in the process of changing the brake pads, we put the brake piston to the innermost position and it will be very empty when we start to brake. It's good to step on a few times.

Inspection method
1, see the thickness: a new brake pad thickness is generally about 1.5cm, with the use of continuous friction will gradually thinning. When the thickness of the brake pad was visually observed, it was only about 1/3 of the original thickness (about 0.5 cm). Owners will increase the frequency of self-tests and are ready to change. There are individual models that do not have the conditions to be viewed by the naked eye because of the design of the hub. They need to be removed to complete the tire.
If it is the latter, wait until the warning light is on, the metal base of the brake pad and the brake disc are already in the state of iron grinding. At this time, the bright iron will be seen near the edge of the tire in the tire. Therefore, we recommend checking the wear condition of the brake pads regularly to see if they can be used, instead of just trusting the warning lights.
